Crystal Stilts shake it at the Rock Shop
These buzzy fuzz-pop locals just released a new single on Slumberland called "Shake the Shackles," in which they offer up more of the reverbed guitars and mopey fake-English vocals that defined Crystal Stilts' 2008 debut, Alight of Night. A fresh full-length is reportedly due early next year, so it seems safe to expect a preview tonight—as well, perhaps, as tunes by Cinema Red and Blue, an international indie-jangle outfit several of the Stilts recently formed with members of London's Comet Gain. Doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore? With the German Measles, the Mad Scene, and Surprisers.
