While barely a blip on hip blog radars, Laurel Canyon denizens Dawes have bumped up to bigger venues on the strength of their live show. Dead-on in their approximations of classic stalwarts such as the Band and CSN&Y on their well-crafted debut North Hills, Dawes's shared harmonies and keen interplay have made Wilco and Fleet Foxes fans into swift converts.
