Ernest Hemingway once said, “All thinking men are atheists.” So, is this to say Old Saint Nick has never read Finnegans Wake? The horror! The Atheist’s Guide to Christmas, a collection of essays by entertainers, journalists, and other creative-minded thinkers, aims to break the awkward silence and dirty looks between believers and nonbelievers during the stress-inducing holiday season. Tonight’s discussion includes political comedian Jamie Kilstein; journalist Allison Kilkenny; author Evan Mandery; Andrew Shaffer, creative director of the humorous greeting-card company Order of St. Nick; and the book’s co-editor Stephanie Meyers. I guess they won’t be getting any presents this year.
