BONNIE ‘PRINCE’ BILLY IS PRICELESS

Wait . . . we meant ‘too pricey’

More About

Back in October, when Ticketmaster first posted this Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy & the Cairo Ganggig, the course did not run smooth. The site, in its infinite wisdom, listed tickets for $363.50 apiece—or, as it helpfully broke down, $35 for the ticket and $328.50 in nebulous "fees." For that price, singer Will Oldham had better be eating his beard onstage; fortunately, this was just a typo, albeit one that led to a BrooklynVegan field day, and the lo-fi alt-country ensemble quickly shed the crazy charges. Tonight, expect the best of the singer's five roots-rockin’ albums, hopefully with emphasis on this spring’s spare, fine The Wonder Show of the World, at a glorious space . . . and at a far more festive price.
