Growing made their Vice debut earlier this year with Pumps!, and with that record came a more propulsive and fully realized version of their sound. Based these days in Brooklyn, and now a trio with the addition of Sadie Laska on vocals and extra electronics, Kevin Doria and Joe Denardo have followed their drone and scrape toward an accessible kind of...something, all chopped up with weird transmissions and the residue of sound culled from galactic fiber optics. There are commonalities with Black Dice in the repetition and the warped reclamation of sound, like rusted and bent rebar twisted to form a recognizable shape. With Sightings.
