Josh ‘Deakin’ Dibbannounced last week that, after skipping out on the recording of 2009’s breakout Merriweather Post Pavilion, he’d rejoined his alt bros in Animal Collective and will appear with the celebrated psych-pop outfit at next year’s Primavera Sound and All Tomorrow’s Parties festivals. As a way to get back into the groove, perhaps, he’s playing the New Museum’s Get Weird party tonight; expect loads of swirly-swirl sonics, some of which may show up on a Deakin solo disc in 2011. With Brooklyn’s yoga-appropriate Prince Rama, whose recent Shadow Temple Dibb helped create.
