Before you go ahead and sell out your family’s secrets for a bestselling memoir, you may want to hear from an author named Brooke Wyeth first. In Other Desert Cities, a new play by Jon Robin Baitz, Brooke (Elizabeth Marvel) visits her parents (Stacy Keach and Stockard Channing) after a six-year absence in Palm Springs for Christmas with the announcement that she is about to publish her memoir about her brother, an antiwar activist during the Vietnam War who committed suicide. Her parents, who were former members of Reagan’s inner circle, beg her not to go through with it. Joe Mantello directs.
Tuesdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Wednesdays, Saturdays, 2 p.m.; Sundays, 3 p.m. Starts: Dec. 16. Continues through Feb. 27, 2010
