Normally we wouldn’t recommend schmoozing around an intersection waiting for a quick hook-up. But this is different. This is about hand-holding, and meaningful silences, and gazing profoundly into each other’s eyes, and . . . well, OK, getting to be weird in public, mostly. This New Year’s Day, Christina Ewald and Fritz Donnelly, the exceptional eccentrics behind HiChristina!, have organized their second annual Love Corners, their biggest gathering ever. Wear a red scarf, hat, or other winter accessory, meet at the assigned intersection, and join hands simultaneously with strangers in Beijing, London, Johannesburg, and Tokyo. Last year, a giant panda showed up, so you never know what might go down.
