Switzerland: so peaceful, so verdant, so neutral. Who would have thought that this quiet mountain nation would prove a hotbed of mime? But for nearly 40 years, it has exported Mummenschanz, a collective determined to take the most ordinary objects--“wires, tubes, boxes, and even toilet paper”--and render them magical.
