Pentagram

Doom-rock pioneers Pentagram played their brand of Black Sabbath-influenced, gut-churning metal so slowly that it took them 14 years to release their debut, now known as Relentless, in 1985. The wait (and weight of their heavy music) was worth it, though, and they've become cult legends in the quarter century since. Through it all, frontman Bobby Liebling has kept the band going, and it intends to release its seventh full-length this year. With classic-era guitarist Victor Griffin back in the fold, the band is ready for an Anvil-style comeback. With Hull, Judas Priestess, and Bezoar.
