The Klezmatics+Good for the Jews+Joshua Nelson

History and culture, solidarity and rebellion--the Klezmatics embody all these things and throw a great dance party to boot. They headline the Oy!Hoot Festival, the musical component of this week's Schmooze Jewish Culture Conference. Comedy-pop duo Good for the Jews consists of borscht belters David Fagin and Rob Tannenbaum, whose sets include tunes such as "They Tried to Kill Us" and "Goin' Down to Boca." Joshua Nelson, the stirring "prince of kosher gospel," was raised Jewish and saved by Mahalia Jackson.
