Stream Charlotte Gainsbourg’s IRM

by

We’d be remiss if we didn’t point out that Spinner was streaming the entire new Charlotte Gainsbourg album today. Only a week ago, she played her first live show, literally ever, at the Bell House, an experience our esteemed coworker described as “like watching a rare Shoebill Stork [??!] at the zoo.” By the time we got there, the next night, the situation had normalized into a kind of beginner’s nerves clinic (pretty sure she literally started choking on Bob Dylan’s “Just Like a Woman”). But the odd, clean, dusky shapes of IRM, the record Beck wrote for her (it’s out today), were clear throughout. Recommended, especially at the low, low price of free. [Spinner]
