You know, seasonal affective disorder.
That’s a form of depression related to seasons, and though it often overtakes people at the beginning of the winter, I always get it at the tail end.
Just when I’ve had enough of blustery winds and squishy precipitation, along comes more of it! Way more of it!
Just when I can’t take one more snowstorm, along comes 17 inches. And not the way you might like it.
And so I fall victim to all of S.A.D.’s symptoms, like low energy, social withdrawal, and a manic craving for carbs.
Yes, I have those all year ’round, but thanks to S.A.D., I’m even more tired, withdrawn, and full of potatoes.
