There’s Going to be Another Julia Child Book

Julie Child is set to get some more love on the printed page: Houghton Mifflin Harcourt has just announced it will publish As Always, Julia: The Letters of Julia Child and Avis DeVoto on Dec. 1. As the Times reports, the book will comprise more than a decade’s worth of correspondence between Child and DeVoto, a good friend who was responsible for getting the manuscript for Mastering the Art of French Cooking to the publisher Alfred A. Knopf. The letters span from 1952 to 1965, during which time Child began teaching cooking to American women in Paris and started work on her seminal cookbook.
