Casa Mezcal endeared itself to us by providing some of the best free bar snacks we’ve had in New York–juicy oranges dredged in chile powder, very fine chips and guacamole, spiced, fried grasshoppers, and more.
Recently, the place has started to offer a menu of food that you actually have to pay for. Right now there are appetizers and an assortment of tacos available, and the full menu might be available as soon as the end of this week.
Eventually, the building will hold a three-story Oaxacan culture megaplex, including art exhibits and a cinema.
