The Californians sinister glamour has inspired many an eyeliner-streaked offshoot, notably the Dresden Dolls, though Black Tapes ninth full-length, 2004s Halo Star, was the last to feature the core lineup of Sam Rosenthal, Elysabeth Grant, Bret Helm, Michael Laird, and Lisa Feuer. Last years 10 Neurotics featured cameos from several of them, centralized in a new ensemble with Brian Viglione of the Dresden Dolls and other newbies. Is their twist ending amicability?
