More About
Choreographer David Parsons is known for his crowd-pleasing spectacles; his signature piece Caughtfeatures a dancer completing more than a hundred leaps in less than six minutes, each one caught by the flash of a strobe light to give the illusion that the dancer is flying. Parsons Dance now returns to the Joyce with three programs, including three world premieres, two by Parsons (a duet titled Portinariand a still unnamed group piece set to the music of Steely Dan) and one by the delightful Monica Bill Barnes titled Love, oh Love. And, of course, all three programs will include his masterwork Caught.
