Rock that facial hair thing you got going on
The 2011 Brooklyn Beardfest & Stache Bash is a New Year’s Eve of sorts—though instead of counting down to the New Year, this festival celebrates the incoming of “Facial Hair February.” Before the hour strikes midnight, plan on listening to bands with beards (Neckbeard Telecaster, Los Encantados) and mustached DJs (Jon Mizrachi) and even checking out some dancing ladies with face fuzz (Beard-Lesque). And for all you facial-hair aficionados, like myself, who love hair-themed goodies, there will be plenty of vendors selling mustache necklaces and beard comb necklaces, beard bowties and pillows and even mustaches and beards “on a stick,” in case you feel a little naked up top and don’t want to feel left out.
