Given the glut of ’90s-indie reunions over the last few years, it’s a little surprising that it took as long as it did for Washington, D.C.’s Dismemberment Plan to get back on the road again—especially when you consider how Blog Age–appropriate the band’s fusion of nerdy guitar rock and funked-up dance music now seems. (Frontman Travis Morrison and James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem: brothers from a different mother?) That said, it’s unclear if these guys are back for anything more extensive than their current run of shows, booked in connection with Barsuk Records’ new reissue of the Plan’s 1999 breakthrough, Emergency & I. Catch ’em while you can.
