It's been almost a decade since post-punk pioneers Mission of Burma reformed, and since then, they've managed to defy reunion odds and keep their legacy intact. Co-frontmen Roger Miller and Clint Conley continue to write catchy, abrasive anthems in the vein of their biggest hits, "Academy Fight Song" and the maligned-by-Moby "That's When I Reach for My Revolver." More importantly, they still play with punky conviction. Tonight is a victory lap of sorts, since the group's most recent release was 2009's excellent The Sound the Speed the Light. With Grandfather.
