Incurable hip-hop junkies DJ Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Garcíahelped change the landscape of New York’s hip-hop subterranean thanks to their pioneering radio show on Columbia’s WKCR. The list of emerging stars that stopped by for a quick freestyle in the ’90s reads like a playlist of the decade’s platinum superstars, most unfuckwithable Tunnel-banger practitioners, and a generation of underground-as-fuck vinyl pushers. Come celebrate the 20th anniversary of this influential graveyard-shift transmission with a live late-night radio show—fully loaded with their trusty turntables, their charming banter, and their revolving lineup of guests ready to kick a dope verse (more than one MC with a platinum plaque is currently rumored to be stopping by).
