Carl Craig's productions--under his own name or as Paperclip People, 96, Psyche, or Innerzone Orchestra--would have made him a legend on their own, but in curating and encouraging other artists on his Planet E label, he's shaped the course of techno. His career began when he worked with emotive-techno pioneer and fellow Detroit icon Derrick May in Rhythim Is Rhythim and released early tracks on May's Transmat. Paul Woolford is known as a producer's producer, thanks to well-regarded remixes of Morgan Geist and the Juan Maclean, as well as his own Erotic Discourse. With Sleepy & Boo.
