Moody alternative-era singer/songwriter Edwyn Collins is still best known for pensive rockers such as "A Girl Like You" and his '80s work with Glaswegian post-punk outfit Orange Juice, who got the box set treatment last year. Shortly after releasing his 2005 album, Home Again, Collins suffered brain hemorrhages, which debilitated him for a couple of years. Through it all, he kept his determination, relearned his songs, and returned to performing live in 2007. Last week, he released Home Again's follow-up, Losing Sleep, which features guest appearances by members of the Smiths, Franz Ferdinand, and Aztec Camera. Tonight and tomorrow are his only scheduled U.S. dates. With the Kinbeats.
