A tribute to Miss Holloway—er, Hathaway
Among the many wonderful things about Mad Men, the best is Joan Harris née Holloway, the buxom red-headed secretary at ad firm Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce. And though deprived of her sassy attitude during the series’ off-season, performance artist Angela Di Carlo is helping us get through the cold, cold months with a few form-fitting pencil skirts of her own in The Mad World of Miss Hathaway. This musical consists of the first two episodes of a faux-Joan spinoff: “The Torment of Penny Trollson” and “Who’s Eating Lance Borgotto?” David Ilku and Patrick Johnson join Di Carlo to round out the cast.
