In 1998, Japanese-born choreographers/dancers Eiko and Koma performed in a month-long living installation called “Breath” at the Whitney Museum in which both of them were nude for four weeks in their multimedia installation. Twelve years later, the duo, who have been performing since 1976, present Naked, a marathon-like living installation in which they will be on view, nude, four to six hours a day for two weeks. The installation itself transforms from a feathery wall installation to a nest resting on the ground that serves as their home. Just don’t feed the birds.
Mondays-Sundays. Starts: March 18. Continues through April 9, 2011
