WILD STYLE

Santiago Felipe has an eye for crazy

Brooklyn photographer Santiago Felipe has the best job in the world: He gets stage access to Madonna, parties with Björk, attends soirees at the MOMA, chills out with Calle 13, and then rubs our faces in it. We live vicariously through his spectacular images, which have been seen on Stereogum.com and in the pages of Spin and the Voice, among others. His new exhibit, The End Is the Beginning, features images shot at Brooklyn's Sugarland, using its infamous graffiti wall as a colorful backdrop. Known for its all-night parties, Sugarland brings out the most colorful characters for its art performances, karaoke, drag shows, and the like. We're sure some of his eccentric subjects will be doing a drop-in tonight.
