John Oates

It's easy to imagine John Oates performing without Darryl Hall as an SNL bit: a little "No can do" here and a "Oohh, here she comes" there with a whole lotta instrumental bits in between. After all, despite being half of one of the most successful pop duos of all time, Oates was often simply the man behind the mustache. Now, having lost the soup strainer, he's releasing an album of Americana blues, Mississippi Mile, which contains his takes on Curtis Mayfield's "It's Alright" and even Hall & Oates' "You Make My Dreams Come True"--except this isn't a dream. With Sam Bush.
