Jennifer Egan, a resident of Fort Greene, did our Brooklyn literary scene proud yet again with her latest, most inventive novel A Visit From the Goon Squad, which won the National Book Critics Circle Award for Fiction, was long-listed for the Orange Prize, and made just about every list of the Top 10 Books of 2010 (including ours). Tonight, hear her discuss how she developed the complex interlocking narratives of the book, which spans 40 years in telling the story of a middle-aged record executive, his troubled young female employee, and the secret lives of those they meet along the way. Laura Miller, cofounder of Salon.com, leads the discussion.
