She's the kind of performer for whom shows get written. The only problem she faces is that this ain't an age when shows are tailored for performers, so she's had to make do by immeasurably decorating tuners like Legally Blonde, A Catered Affair, and Sondheim on Sondheim. A few years ago, she delighted the cabaret crowd with her replication of Patti LuPone's celebrated Les Mouchesstint. This time, she's herself in Beautiful Disaster, based on her memorable 1995 high school senior year.
