It's hard to believe that this sentence-length band with the wildly memorably tag have been slogging at it for a dozen years, but this Missouri quartet's persistence has won them love from both blogs and the print press. Not bad for a band that recorded their debut in their guitarist's house. Credit given where credit's due: SSLYBY has evolved their power-pop not quite to the heights of Big Star, but at least to the level of the Posies and the Smithereens. With Koo Koo Kanga Roo.
