Glen and Randa

Dir. Jim McBride (1971). Jim McBride’s studio debut, from a script co-written by Rudy Wurlitzer, is one of those early ‘70s Hollywood new wave movies that didn’t catch on then and has existed ever since in a cult film limbo. The vision of a post-apocalyptic America is all the more poignant in that the on-the-road counterculture that created it is long, long gone.
