Boasting a bill that will appeal to the moodiest of metalheads, this show features alt-metal heartthrobs Deftones touting their expansive psychedelic dreamscapes right after Ritalin poster-boys Dillinger Escape Plan perform their Tasmanian Devil-like whirlwinds of technical hardcore. It's an odd pairing, but it somehow makes sense, since their extremes seem to come from the same place. The record collections of each band probably include a lot of Fugazi, Slayer, and the Cure--groups who are just as passionate about what they do as the bands tonight.
