The brightest artists party for a good cause

The Fluorescentball isn't your average stuffy art museum gala. This benefit to raise $250,000 in support of the Museum of Art and Design's educational programs and classes for students features a hip host committee (including Leigh Lezark, Casey Spooner, and Vena Cava's Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock) and a one-of-a-kind art sale from contributing artists and designers who were asked to create pieces inspired by fluorescence and rare earth metals (such as offbeat jewelry by Black Sheep and Prodigal Sons, a neon heart by Jen Kao, and a fluorescent surfboard by Rogan Gregory). Don't forget your shades.
