Theatrical documentarians the Civilians have been chronicling the country's idiosyncrasies, flaws, and public/political sagas for 10 years now. To celebrate its anniversary, the company is reviving its first show, in concert form. First staged in 2002, Canard, Canard, Goose? concerns rumors about the mistreatment of geese during the making of the Hollywood movie Fly Away Home. As always, the Civilians' resident composer Michael Friedman (also known for his score to Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson) provides the music. The concert is the final installment in the "Let Me Ascertain You" series at Joe's Pub.
Fri., June 10, 9:30 p.m., 2011
