Rapper, actor, and man about town Mos Def is paying honors to his childhood stomping grounds by headlining the third annual Fort Greene Festival. Referred to as the "urban Woodstock," the Fort Greene Fest celebrates the true heart of Brooklyn by showcasing homegrown talents and, of course, unique food offerings from Madiba, Soul Spot, Brooklyn Moon, and the General Greene. Other Brooklynites taking part include actress Rosie Perez and writer Touré on hosting duties and music by rock and soul singer Sophia Urista, electro-funk duo Navegante, and hip-hop group Lifted Crew.
