On September 11, 2001, all New Yorkers had to grapple with the new city we found ourselves living in. But how did one quintessential New Yorker deal? Liza Minnelli, for whom Kander and Ebb wrote Gotham's anthem, "New York, New York," is the subject of performance artist Karen Finley's exploration of "divaness" in a post-9/11 world, Make Love. Channeling Minnelli, Finley delves into comedy, torch songs, and dance to chart the musical icon's quest to make sense after a senseless act.
Saturdays, 7:30 p.m. Starts: Sept. 3. Continues through Sept. 17, 2011
