Innervision label boss Dixon is among the vanguard of Germans who, rather than adhering to the minimalism that made Berlin a world dance capital, are reconfiguring techno as modern soul music, organic and intricate. His style tends to be considerably airier than that of the Detroiters he’d count as influences, but his light touch always provides dancefloor inspiration.
