In French, "nuit blanche" means "white night" or "all-nighter." But it also refers to the nighttime festival, which launched in Paris in 2001, that happens simultaneously all over the world. Bring to Light: Nuit Blanche New York 2011, which debuted here last year, is back to bring site-specific installations to Greenpoint's streets and industrial waterfront. Featuring established and emerging artists, the exhibit showcases more than 50 variations of light and sound shows, performances, and new-media project. If you get lost, just follow the light.
