Brothels might be illegal in this town, but word on the street is that One-Eyed Jacks, the original casino and brothel from Twin Peaks, is opening in the West Village for one night only. Dances of Vice, the company behind some of the best elaborately themed costume parties, is putting on this Jack With One Eye party, where everyone is a suspect in the death of Laura Palmer. Canadian pin-up Bettina May and veteran burlesque beauty the Flying Fox will flaunt their stuff while DJs spin finger-snapping crime jazz, '80s hits, and old Uncle Leland's big-band favorites. (The weirder you dance, the better!) Come dressed as Agent Cooper, Audrey Horne, the Log Lady, or—our favorite—wrapped dead in a plastic bag. We hope someone remembers to bring cherry pie.
