Talk about your Iron John gone Rain Man. In his Man Forever guise, Oneida drummer Kid Millions crams the sonic frame with multitude upon multitude of fastidiously struck drum beats, impossibly steady streaks of rum-pum-pum-pum sustained for near-eternities on stage or on wax, sometimes with assistance from other musicians. It's to his credit that these percussive clinics never feel tedious, as the anticipatory jitters that the drum rolls usually produce give way to something akin to a meditative (if not medicated) state that we can never get quite enough of. If you come for Man Forever, make sure to stay for the surprise-filled later acts.
