Tonight Oktave resident Jeff Derringer celebrates two years of shuttling his techno parties between New York and Chicago by showcasing Glasgow’s Edit-Select, who for his part has been crafting dubby techno for the likes of CLR for over a decade. Raised on krautrock and Latin freestyle and later inspired by Detroit techno and Chicago house, Droid Behavior collectivists (and brothers) Raiz have been bringing a little aural sophistication and a sense of history to Los Angeles’s electronic scene.
