More About

The lineup for “Lame Fest II: Eclectic Boogaloo” is not nearly as cheekily cringe-worthy as its name. A day before their official CMJ showcase, tonight’s not-so-secret headliners Dum Dum Girls will play their Phil Spector via David Lynch take on girl-group indie rock right after unwittingly Lynchian Dinosaur Jr. vocalist-guitarist J Mascis plays some of the aching singer-songwriter tunes he put out on this year’s Several Shades of Why (which also sounds less cringe-worthy than its name). Support comes from the ethereally beautiful Julee Cruise-esque Still Corners, chillwavers Memoryhouse, garage rockers Jacuzzi Boys, lightweight pop duo Gem Club and Xray Eyeballs.
