In his latest collection of essays, Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk, David Sedaris creates a series of fables about the modern world with animals as his characters. As the dating-website reference in the title suggests, these animals deal with relevant human woes, such as adultery, casual racism, and fad religions. The fables are paired with illustrations by New Yorker cover artist Ian Falconer. Tonight, Sedaris will do a reading at The Strand and sign books following the event.
