Instead of watching Christmas classics on the small screen, today two great movie theaters are screening new 35mm prints of our holiday favorites. First, head to Film Forum to catch a matinee of Miracle on 34th Street, George Seaton’s 1947 story of a white-bearded man who claims he’s the real St. Nick. Then, run over to the nearby IFC Center for It’s a Wonderful Life, Frank Capra’s 1946 drama about a man who loses all hope on Christmas Eve, starring Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed.
