Two months ago, the Country Music Awards that opened with Blake Shelton and Kenny Loggins performing the latter’s “Footloose” closed with something a little more traditional: Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, and Vince Gill teaming up for a medley of Glen Campbell’s greatest hits. Now 75 and suffering from Alzheimer’s, the “Wichita Lineman” singer is touring the country one last time, playing songs off last year’s Ghost on the Canvas and saying goodbye to his fans, many of whom will surely be trying, as Album of the Year winner Jason Aldean did during that CMA performance, to hold back the tears.
