The soul revivalist practically sweats Brooklyn tap water, but perspiration isn't the only criterion for a heart-stopping tribute to James Brown, the hardest sweating man in show business. Bradley dons a wig and becomes Black Velvet, the Godfather of Soul's 63 year-old doppelgänger who imbues lines like "Ha!" and "Watch me!" with that ineffable thing that makes everyone get up offa that thing. To wit, no one can do it better. Before he found his voice as one of Daptone's crown jewels, Bradley had a longstanding career gyrating along to "Superbad" and "Sex Machine." Somehow, he can still do a James Brown split.
