CAN'T DENY IT

Fab takes the funeral service
to Long Island's NYCB Theatre

Fabolous hasn’t released a proper full-length since 2009’s uneven Loso’s Way, but his guest verses and mixtapes have been more than enough to hold us over until the album’s forthcoming sequel. In fact, those mixtapes, particularly the “There Is No Competition” series that culminated with Christmas’s Death Comes in 3’s, might constitute the Bed-Stuy rapper’s best work, stringing together punchline after punchline over beats from tracks like Gucci Mane's "Lemonade" and Drake’s "Lord Knows" and spawning Hot 97 staples "Body Ya" and "You Be Killin' Em." Meek Mill, the Philadelphia rapper who came into his own on the "Flamerz" mixtapes
series, opens.
