Three-quarters of a year after the publication of his memoir, See a Little Light, Bob Mould returns to New York as part of a tour that sees the alt-rock icon taking on a number of different roles: For his appearance at City Winery, he’ll be playing a solo set, the type of thing which in the past has featured music that has spanned his works with Hüsker Dü, Sugar, and beyond. On Friday, he’ll be doing a DJ set in tandem with Richard Morel (together referring to themselves as Blowoff) where they’ll play indie rock, electro, and house. Chances are, he won’t be taking requests at either.
