Meryl Won't Win, and Other Surefire Oscar Predictions

I was right about four out of the six categories I predicted. I'm delighted to have been wrong about Meryl. She deserved it! And she looked like an Oscar!

Let me add that The Artist is another film that hasn't done huge box office, though voters won't mind since it's not a massively budgeted film.

Jean Dujardin was comical; dramatic; did some fine dancing; and all in all, he was superb! I wouldn't bet against George Clooney. Brad Pitt is too aware of the camera, in my opinion.Viola Davis had to come on very strong toward the end. She didn't disappoint. Finally, I hope, a second Best Actress oscar for an African American.

Oh no, The Muppets don't tackle cancer or gay issues. Let's brush it aside and dismiss as a "kiddie flick".Have you listened at all to Man Or Muppet or...any of the songs from the soundtrack? Is that a no?Sounding like a real A-hole there.

I hope that George Clooney gets the oscar & Meryl Streep.

And if the lady wins for best costumes for WE she can mention Madonna.

I"m anxious to see what sort of tribute they give to Whitney Houston...I'm afraid, however, that the members of the Academy, who are 94% white, will only be able to stomach voting for one African American actress for an award, so Meryl will win for Thatcher and Octavia Spencer will win for poopy pie

Everything you said is 100% on target. I didn't see any of the movies (except for Iron Lady), but you know your stuff.
