Plastic forks, razor blades, notepads, and ladders might sound like random everyday objects to you or me, but for Chinese-American artist Sarah Sze, a MacArthur “genius grant” recipient, they make the best materials for her mesmerizing installations. Where does a “genius” get her ideas from? Asia Society’s exhibition Sarah Sze: Infinite Line takes a rare look at the process of this acclaimed artist, who was recently selected to represent the U.S. at the 2013 Venice Biennale. On display are eight site-specific installations as well as works on paper. And mark your calendars for March 14 when Sze and her husband, Pulitzer Prize–winning author Siddhartha Mukherjee (The Emperor of All Maladies), sit down for a chat.
Mondays-Sundays, 10 a.m. Starts: March 2. Continues through March 25, 2012
